Meet Brittany Rose

Founder of Purrfect Behavior and cat-mom to The Chaos Crew

Living with cats shouldn’t be stressful and chaotic.

I help cat owners understand what’s actually driving problem behaviors so they can fix them in a way that’s realistic and lasting. My goal is not to drag families through endless sessions or overwhelm them with confusing options. I focus on clear guidance, practical steps, and a plan that makes sense for the cat, the household, and real life.

I became a Certified Cat Behavioral Specialist after seeing how often cats were misunderstood — and how often well-meaning advice didn’t actually fit the cat, the household, or real life. I don’t focus on surface-level fixes or one-size-fits-all advice. I focus on the why behind the behavior — looking at environment, routine, stress, and household dynamics to create solutions that actually work.

I hold certifications in feline behavior and psychology, surrender prevention, multi-cat dynamics, anxiety & aggression, along with numerous rescue/foster behavior-specific areas. I am also a professional member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, as well as having additional training in medical-related behavior issues — conditions like stress-related cystitis — allowing me to recognize when behavior may be linked to underlying health factors, not just environment.

My background in nursing studies and medical malpractice law shapes how I approach behavior — focusing on patterns, root causes, and when something may go beyond behavior alone.

Every cat in my home is a rescue or former foster, so I’ve lived the reality of figuring this out without a perfect roadmap. My approach is rooted in compassion, clarity, and practicality — not punishment, dominance myths, or unrealistic expectations. I design environments where the right behaviors become easier.

You don’t need endless sessions. You need to understand your cat.

That’s where real behavior change begins.

Now, meet the cats who inspired all of this…

Meet The Chaos Crew

Behind every behavior specialist is a group of cats making sure things stay interesting.

Each one of my cats represents a personality type I commonly see in client homes— and the lessons they’ve taught me shape how I approach behavior challenges.

Real cats. Real personalities. Real lessons.

Callie

AKA “The Queen”

The Confident Controller

Callie rules the household — and occasionally distributes the disciplinary “booting”, with Ollie the Goblin serving as her most frequent recipient. Callie is highly intelligent and knows exactly what she wants — and expects the world to adjust accordingly.

Callie doesn’t ask for control — she assumes it. She is observant, strategic, and very aware of household patterns, which means she often notices changes before anyone else does. If something is not up to royal standard, she will be filing a complaint immediately.

Cats like Callie are often labeled “bossy” or “dominant,” when in reality they’re confident, strategic cats who know how to communicate their needs — loudly, clearly, and with zero apologies.

Royal treatment is not optional.

All Hail The Queen 👑

Ozzy

AKA “The Snugga Bug”

The Social Regulator

Ozzy keeps the peace — the steady, unbothered presence holding the chaos together. While the others spiral, he’s usually just existing calmly in the middle of it, quietly regulating the room by being his soft, stable self.

Cats like Ozzy show how much feline relationships influence behavior. A socially steady cat can help reduce tension in a multi-cat home without looking like they’re doing much at all. Sometimes the calmest cat in the room is the one keeping everyone else from fully losing the plot.

But don’t confuse calm with slow. Ozzy may look like he was designed for maximum coziness, but the Snugga Bug comes equipped with rockets in his boots. Once he gets moving, he reaches speeds best described as

“Mach Chonk 3”.

When the Snugga Bug ignites the rocket boots.. you best get out of the way.

Luna (Lulu Bells)

AKA “The Marshmallow”

The Sensitive Speed Demon

Luna is soft, gentle, and deeply sensitive — the kind of cat who may become one with the mattress when unfamiliar people enter the room. She needs safety, predictability, and space to choose connection on her own terms.

Once she feels secure, though, her confidence comes out in full force. Lulu may look like a melted marshmallow with cloud feet, but she has a serious 3AM zoomie setting and an impressive commitment to hallway athletics.

Cats like Luna remind us that fear, caution, and sensitivity aren’t flaws — they’re communication. A shy or cautious cat can still be playful, athletic, affectionate, and full of personality once they feel safe.

Confidence looks different in every cat — and sometimes, it sounds like a herd of thundering rhinos running down the hallway.

Ollie

AKA “The Goblin”

The Impulsive Opportunist

Ollie is the baby of the group — full chaotic kitten energy, zero impulse control, and a deep personal belief that every bag, drawer, cabinet, plate, and suspicious crinkling sound requires immediate investigation. If there’s trouble, he’s already in it.

Cats like Ollie are driven by motivation and opportunity — especially when food is involved. His behavior is a perfect example of how the environment shapes outcomes: if the reward is reachable, the goblin will find it.

That’s why cats like Ollie don’t need punishment — they need structure, management, and fewer opportunities to turn bad ideas into successful missions.

Remove the opportunity…and the goblin disappears.

Every cat tells a story — the key is learning how to read it.
